Christian Bautista and Erik Santos are all set to host the weekly singing contest called Star Power: Sharon’s Search for the next Female Pop Superstar which is targeted to air this October. As they have also been contestants in ABS-CBN’s defunct talent search Star in a Million, which launched their successful singing careers, they are most glad to share their experiences to the young hopefuls in the new singing contest. “I hope to contribute fun and excitement to this new singing contest. Though I didn’t win before, through hard work & faith I was able to reach my dreams. I want to be able to share those valuable experiences to the contestants too,” Christian said. Erik added, “I hope to inspire the contestants and show them not only does it take talent, but lots of patience, hard work and humility, to make it in this business.”
Christian and Erik have been busy traveling to the south of the Philippines to shoot footages for the preliminary auditions. Hundreds of female aspirants lined up in ABS-CBN’s Studio in Cebu. Christian and Erik are set to go to Davao next for another set of auditions
